This talk will look at the way the 1641 rebellion was represented as a kind of horror story in the immediate aftermath of the events.
Dr. Jarlath Killeen will also examine a number of pamphlets and histories of the rebellion published in the 1640s and focus on the images and language of horror and terror in these texts.
This talk will be delivered online via Zoom.
