The Jazz Lab - Sight Reading Workshop
Wed 9 November 2016, 19:00 – 20:15 GMT
To be able to read music sheets is an invaluable tool for any musician. It helps us when learning a new tune, organize a practice routine, effectively communicate with band mates and can give a competitive advantage when auditioning for music colleges or for a gig.
The Sight Reading Workshop will provide the participants with essential tools to understand music notation and translate it on the instrument.
Students will learn how to read key and time signatures, pitches, duration, rhythm, bass and treble clef, chord symbols and other indications that are often found on music sheets.
The workshop runs for 9 week, on Wednesdays 7-8.15pm, starting on October 12th
It will be taught in turn by Cian Boylan, Cote Calmet and Marco Santaroni
