Description

Photo: Renata Králová.

Katerina García & Band is a group of five musicians of diverse nationalities and musical affiliations, ranging from Classical and Jazz (Peter Moc, acoustic guitar, Ales Bajgart, bass) to world music / traditional (Katerina García, lead vocal, Síle Denvir, Irish harp, and Robert Harvey, flute). Together they embark on a musical journey across the European continent, exploring and re-imagining musical traditions as diverse as the Eastern-Mediterranean Sephardic cancionero, the songs of Central Europe, the Iberian Peninsula, and Ireland. Amidst the celebrations of St Patrick’s week in the heart of Dublin, The Languages of Music is an homage to Europe’s musical and linguistic diversity.
