About this event
The Shane McGowan Appreciation Society is presented as part of the second season of unique performances held at the Irish Folk Music school in Glenisland, Castlebar, Co Mayo.
Each month our music teachers will present their favourite songs of their favourite recording artists in their own style with a variety of traditional instruments.
The Shane McGowan event was one of the highlights of a successful first season featuring the music of Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, John Prine and more.
By popular demand the Pogues UNPLUGGED: Shane McGowan Appreciation Society will have another outing on Saturday December 3rd.
There is no alcohol at this event but freshly brewed coffee, tea and goodies will be provided.
Tickets are very limited at our 150 year old schoolhouse venue.
