The Shelbourne is delighted to present Nightjar, an exclusive three-night only residency in 1824 Bar from one of London’s most glamorous and interesting bars, running from Thursday 27th to Saturday 29th February.

The Nightjar Residency will have two sittings every evening, with the first at 6pm - 8pm, and the second at 8pm – 10pm. This sophisticated ticketed event will begin with a welcome cocktail along with a delicious selection of canapés, with additional cocktails available from €15.

Nightjar is a speakeasy, Hoxton-style — a hidden slice of old-school glamour on the fringes of London’s Shoreditch. With a world-renowned reputation for breathing new life into forgotten cocktails and bringing fresh perspective to vintage recipes and presentation, the long, playful cocktail list divided into historical eras (pre-Prohibition, post-war etc.) make Nightjar a go-to venue for exploring experimental drinks, as well as enjoying dependable and expert handling of the classics.

Nightjar brings a selection of six of their best cocktails to The Shelbourne, along with leading lights Antonio Pescatori, Nightjar Bar Manager, and Carolina Senesi, Nightjar Head Bartender, who will be delivering these fascinating and delicious drinks over the three-night residency. Antonio and Carolina bring their shared love of chemistry, herbal medicine and botanicals together in the craft of drinks that hark back to an earlier age, many mixed from house liqueurs and bitters, with cocktails including Don Julio Tequila, Tanqueray No Ten and Ketel One.

The Shelbourne presents Nightjar, in association with Diageo World Class, giving Irish cocktail-lovers the opportunity to explore some of these extravagantly adorned libations, created with panache and attention to detail, over the course of three special nights from Thursday 27th to Saturday 29th February.
