Event Details

The CIPD Ireland Southern Region Committee is delighted to invite our members to join us for an 07.30 breakfast event on Wednesday 7th February, 2018 at the Clayton Hotel, Lapps Quay, Cork (formerly The Clarion). Our Speakers will be Matt Moran and Siobhán Dean of BioPharmaChem Ireland (BPCI).

This event is kindly sponsored by Fastnet – The Talent Group.

Our topic will be: The STEM Talent Crisis – What Should HR Be Doing?

We are back in the War for Talent (2.0). Organisations are again fiercely competing for both experienced and graduate candidates to meet ever-increasing resource needs. From a disciplines perspective, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths) is proving the most challenging, and this trend is absolutely set to continue. Whether this is directly relevant for you right now or not, this is ultimately a national issue in which all forward-looking HR and Development professionals should be engaged.

Due to their strategic sector involvement, our speakers are excellently placed to help us further-understand the current, shorter and longer-term implications of the STEM Talent Crisis, what model organisations are proactively doing to assist, and how all of us should get involved here.

We expect places for this event to fill up fast, so book yours now.

Looking forward to meeting you there.
