Iverna in partnership with The Dean Hotel present:
The Sunday Edition

Iverna is bringing artists to the Dean Hotel for a series of intimate talks where attendees will gain an insight into the work ethic and inspiration that drives some of Irelands best contemporary artists practicing in this country today.

This is the first talk in a series that plans to educate and excite the public on established and emerging Irish artists. The event will take place in The Blue Room of The Dean Hotel, with each artist speaking for 40 minutes, while showing images of both their work and processes. Refreshments will be provided afterwards, where attendees can choose to browse The Iverna Print Collection and enjoy further discussion with the artists.

Le Bas
Le Bas divides his time between painting walls and producing studio work.
A background in architecture and graffiti have influenced his approach
to painting. Le Bas' paintings infuse a painterly abstraction with digitally
produced images meticulously hand rendered to form a collage like aesthetic.

Colm MacAthlaoich
Colms' practice focuses on a re-interpretation of the traditional ideas of
painting and printmaking. He draws on a variety of sources, including social
and natural history, mythology, biology and classic figurative art. His work
attempts to place mankind within its surroundings, paying homage to nature
while looking at civilisations harmony and struggle within it. Through making,
process often determines the outcome and allowing subconscious patterns
to emerge within exciting abstractions of these realities.
