a public lecture by Cindy O’Connor, Chief Operations Officer for Pieta House Ireland
An active clinician and passionate about high quality and safe client care, Cindy is Chief Operations Officer at Pieta House – the centre for suicide & self-harm and suicide bereavement support services in Ireland.
Cindy has over 17 years’ experience in psychotherapy services, having worked in private practice, with the children’s charity Barnardos, and as Clinical Director and now COO at Pieta House.
She co-authored the Pieta House therapeutic model and regularly facilitates training and lectures on suicide prevention and self-harm.
Cindy graduated from in Counselling & Psychotherapy from Dublin Business School and obtained a Master’s Degree in Clinical Supervision from Milltown University. She is both as a Psychotherapist and Supervisor with IACP and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at DCU looking at therapist’s experiences of witnessing the physical manifestations of self-harm in the therapy room.
