US hegemony is a much debated concept - it’s only fitting that we address it on the year’s anniversary of Biden’s presidency. Is the United States still a global power, a supreme being?

When we look at our understanding of the world around us, American society glitters and gleams as a beacon of hope.

But has the United States lost it’s grasp on the world? That’s up for you to decide.

This Wednesday in the Graduate’s Memorial Building in Trinity College Dublin, our student debaters will battle it out to see if America still reigns as a global superpower.

The debate starts at 7:30pm. Tickets go on sale Monday 24 January at 12:00pm.
