ARTISTS UNDERTAKE SOLAR POWERED EXPEDITION ON THE SHANNON TO SPARK CLIMATE ACTION THROUGH THE ARTS
The Eco Showboat Mayfly expedition is a four month arts voyage from Limerick to Enniskillen on the Mayfly, the flagship of the Eco Showboat project, and the first solar electric boat to make this journey.
On Sunday 29th May the Mayfly will dock at Clonmacnoise marina to host a performance by sound artists Irene Murphy and Mick O'Shea.

THROUGH AIR AND WATER
Irene Murphy and Mick O'Shea use microphones and hydrophones to record the sounds of wind and water. They will perform an improvised live performance on the Mayfly using these recordings and their own self-made instruments to create an immersive sonic experience where the audience becomes part of a sonic ecosystem.
