Behind the Wheel: Throwing is a one day workshop at Arran Street East to introduce you to the techniques of throwing pots.
In a small class of 10, you'll work on a potters wheel to shape clay, and try your hand at some throwing techniques, guided by our expert potters, with the aim of making a simple pot of your own by the end of the day. We'll help you explore this ancient and meditative craft, and guide you towards finding out which elements you enjoy most.
Each one-off workshop follows the same format, running from 10am to 5pm in our lovely Arran Street East studio in the heart of the Dublin Fruit and Vegetable Markets area, and we'll provide lunch and all the materials you'll need.
All you need to do is pick a date that suits you and look forward to getting started working with clay.
