Event description

Description

The exhibition will be opened by Maria Doyle Kennedy on June 14 6-8pm and runs from to the 2 July.

TONIGHT THERE IS NO GOD, an exhibition of drawing and painting by Natasha Pike. Natasha questions Irish society and faith in this latest series of work. Having spent several years living in free-thinking Berlin, then returning home to rural Ireland, this work is an ongoing adjustment and response to living in a somewhat socially conservative and predominantly Catholic society.

Beginning with the idea ‘Tonight there is no God, who is your keeper?’, compounded by the debate surrounding the ‘Repeal the eighth’ referendum. The work swings from anger to humour, to a more peaceful protest, posing thoughts of what it is we actually believe in, or indeed our need to believe.

Monday – Friday 10.30am – 5.30pm.
