This event aims to prompt collaborative energy among attendees to respond more effectively and compassionately to trauma in Ireland

About this event

This panel discussion will feature trauma survivors and professionals working in the early years sector, education, health, addiction, criminal justice, community support and restorative practice. Contributors will offer their perspectives the desirability of raising public and political awareness about human brain development, the impact of embodied trauma and the need for a collaborative cross sector trauma-responsive approach for better individual and societal outcomes.

The purpose of this course is to raise awareness about attachment, neurodevelopment, the consequences of childhood trauma and how we can all more effectively and humanely engage with human suffering.

Everyone - trauma survivors, parents, carers, professionals from health, social care, education, criminal justice and anyone else who is interested in working in partnership for a better tomorrow for our children - is welcome on the course. No prior learning is expected or necessary.
