Description

This event is an open discussion with survivors of childhood trauma and professionals working in the Early Years sector, education, health, addiction and criminal justice about the desirability of raising public and political awareness of the prevalence and impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) in Ireland and the need for a collaborative cross sector trauma-responsive approach for better individual and societal outcomes.

There will be contributions on attachment and Infant Mental Health, supporting parents with experience of interpersonal trauma, manifestations of trauma in the school setting, the health impacts of childhood adversity, being a child in the care system, trauma and prisoners, ACEs, and the Travelling Community.
