Trading online vouchers for retailers Grants of up to €2,500 net of VAT (50% of eligible expenditure) to assist micro enterprises enhance their ecommerce capability to grow their sales, exports and ultimately jobs. The Scheme is open through the Local Enterprise Office and the current closing date for applications is 7th October.
Small Business Incentive Scheme Kilkenny County Council has introduced an incentive scheme for new and expanding businesses which have opened since 1st January 2016. The scheme awards a payment to the business for the first 3 years of operation. The scheme is designed as a support for the turbulent first trading years.
Yulefest Kilkenny is the new Christmas time festival for Kilkenny. The features events and associated decoration of the City and County will run over the three weekends in December 2016. The committee have come together to combat the outflows to nearby towns as dedicated Christmas destinations. Our aim is to deliver a targeted marketing campaign and to dress the City and towns in order to maximise on the excellent locations in Kilkenny already making Christmas special and to encourage and deliver new events that will enhance the visitor experience. 2016 is just the beginning of an event that is hoped to grow in the coming years.
