About this Event

TRACES OF RESISTANCE: Crossing borders in Ireland and the UK*

Performative Lecture by Fabian Saul

Following his research in Ireland and the UK and all over Europe, the editor-in-chief of Berlin-based Flaneur Magazine, Fabian Saul, will connect different streets in Ireland, the UK and Europe through stories of resistance. Starting from Dublin’s quays and in an attempt to call into question the limits, boundaries and borders the urban landscape withholds, he turns to the element of water in order to re-connect different places. His performative lecture assembles multiple voices, defying canonic narration in favour of fragmentation.

Flaneur is a nomadic, independent magazine focussing on one street per issue. The magazine embraces the street’s complexity, its layers and fragmented nature with a literary approach. The content of the magazine is produced with and for Flaneur by artists of all disciplines while the team spends two months on location. It is made using a collaborative, impulsive and unconventional approach. The magazine attempts to use a single microcosm to tell universal stories.

Doors Open/Wine Reception @ 6pm | Event Starts 6:30pm. Attendance is free of charge but booking via Eventbrite is essential.
