Your Workshop Materials List
The following are the materials you will need for the Christmas Wreath Zoom Tutorial on 10th December 2020.
1. A 10” or 12” wet foam wreath, ring pre soaked for the class to speed things up. This is done by placing the ring foam side down in a basin of cold water for about 5 minutes.
2. Florist’s wires for securing cones, baubles etc. You will need approx 20/30. These are available in most garden centres /florists or online.
3. Foliage: This is your own choice of whatever you can find in your garden or hedgerow. Try to use long lasting evergreens such as non shed Christmas tree(Abies Noblis), box foliage, pine, golden or green conifer, holly (variegated or green), skimmia, berries, rosehips, eucalyptus, ivy leaves and any other festive berries you may find. These pieces need not be very long 15cm approx.
4. Decoration: These can be fir cones, baubles, cinnamon sticks, orange slices, whole dried oranges or limes - at this time of year you are likely to find some of these items in your local supermarket. You could also include some fresh flowers of your choosing if you like!
5. Approximately 3m of wire edged ribbon – festive colours work best. String, raffia or thin ribbon if you wish to tie cinnamon sticks in little bundles (optional)
6. Scissors/secateurs and a wire cutter.
I hope you can source most of the above and join me on zoom to create your Christmas Wreath - don’t be afraid to bring along anything else you can find to make your wreath individual.
