Event description
On Tuesday, February 25th, join JCI Mayo at 7 pm for their latest event: 'How Emotional Intelligence Aids Conflict Resolution.’

About this Event

Following up from last month's hugely popular event, JCI Mayo have invited Self-Employed Behaviour Consultant and 2019 JCI Ireland President, Keira Keogh, to present a workshop around the topic of Emotional Intelligence and Conflict Resolution.

Whether in work or at home, conflict is something we all come in contact with at some point in time. But YOU can choose how you handle conflict if, or when, it arises.

This interactive workshop will help us to look at, and understand, emotional situations with a new perspective.

When someone is rude to you at work do you:

a) take it personally and react

or

b) empathise and wonder what has caused them to act this way towards you

When you lose your temper with a family member are you:

a) Happy that you have acted that way

or

b) Regret flying of the handle and feel guilty

UNDERSTANDING how our emotions and history can influence how we and those around us behave can lead us to be more AWARE and as a result CHANGE our own behaviour and INFLUENCE the behaviour of others.

In JCI we are striving to create leaders that will go on to make sustainable impact on their branches, communities and indeed the World. The emotionally intelligent leader has the ability to create more connected and motivated teams.

Emotional Intelligent People & Leaders:

Resolving Conflicts

It is very important to understand that emotional intelligence is not the opposite of intelligence, it is not the triumph of heart over head – it is the unique intersection of both.” “Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.” - David Caruso
