Consumer Law Ready approved Trainers are provided with specialist training, and once certified, are equipped and authorised to provide consumer law training courses for SMEs in their local areas.
Applying to become a Consumer Law Ready Trainer has a few requirements:
- Ideally, applicants are consumer law experts working in the industry
- A relevant business organisation
- A training provider
- Or are members of the Consumer Association of Europe

Become a Certified Consumer Law Ready Trainer
Once you have attended an expert training, you will be an official certified Consumer Law Ready Trainer! You will receive a certificate and your consumer law ready website access will be upgraded.
Create your own SME training session
Once certified, you can set up your own training event for SMEs! Decide on your date and location and create the event on the Consumer Law Ready website.
How it works
The programme consists of training sessions packaged into 5 Modules:
- Pre-contractual information requirements
- Rights of withdrawal
- Consumer rights and guarantees in case of non-conforming products
- Unfair commercial practices
- Alternative dispute reolutions
Training content will be delivered in the native language of the country of origin and tailored to the specifics of consumer law legislation in that country. This course is tailored to Irish Consumer Law and the rights consumers are entitled to.
