Transforming Learning and Transformative Pedagogies: Continuing the Convers

Transformative learning and transformative pedagogies are key aspects of the UL@50 strategic plan under Goal 1 Transforming Education. This goal aims to foster a student-centred learning environment to enable students to develop as independent, creative and critical thinkers, which will help them to become engaged citizens, professionals and potential future leaders. In this workshop, we will look at some of theories underpinning transformative learning, we will explore what the characteristics of transformation are, on what a transformative learning experience looks like in practice and how we can further develop our approaches to transformative pedagogies.
