About this event
Join us on Saturday 10 December for tree planting at Ardan Wood, County Westmeath. Volunteers collected acorns last year, which we've grown in our nursery facility, and now they are ready to take root in their new home close to their parent trees!

When: 11AM on 10/12/2022.
What to bring: It is essential to bring warm and waterproof clothing and sturdy footwear. Working gloves and a shovel if you have one. Water, a packed lunch, and any medications you might require.
Tea, coffee and biscuits provided. If you have a reusable coffee cup, please bring this along with you too, as we have a limited number of reusable cups available.
Age limit: All ages are welcome - however we do ask that children are accompanied by a parent or guardian.

The Native Woodland Trust is dedicated to the preservation of Ireland’s remaining ancient woodlands with a focus on the restoration of Ireland’s original climax ecosystem, through the re-creation of woodlands, using only native seed. Through its membership and volunteer scheme it aims to safeguard ancient woodlands precious habitats from damage via the removal of harmful invasive species and the reintroduction of native trees that have been lost to the locality.
