About this Event

If you would like to meet other communities who have common goals around local energy projects, energy technologies and types of solutions available – this is the session for you. It might be applicable to local development groups, Tidy Towns groups or any group who already have a core interest in sustainability and want to see more awareness raising; Tidy Towns, Sligo Environment Network members, Sligo PPN environment pillar. Tidy Towns can get points in their assessment simply by starting to consider low carbon initiatives under the "Sustainability - Doing more with less" category.

It may also be useful for voluntary or community groups which run a building like AHB's with sheltered housing, schools, sports clubs, shops, food businesses, etc. There are easy wins and long term savings through SEAI and other support schemes. Less money spent on energy means more for core services.

We will also look at saving energy at home - which of course has wins for the whole community.
