TCD Staff Only Academic Orientation 2022

We are delighted to welcome you to this one day orientation event for all new academic staff, where we will provide an overview of College areas and an introduction to key personnel in the University.

Welcome Address and Speakers - We are delighted that the Provost, Professor Linda Doyle has agreed to open the Orientation Programme. In addition, you will have the opportunity to meet key officers in the University (Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, Global Engagement, Biodiversity and Climate Action, Dean of Research and more). You will also have time to meet and network with new academic colleagues, we are inviting approximately 60 academics from across the faculties.

Others Supports and Services Present on the day – We will also be hosting, at lunchtime, other representatives of facilities and supports such as HR, Sports, Bike to Work/Travel Pass, Irish Officer, Hospital Saturday Fund (health insurance alternative) and others.

Common Room Reception - The day will end with a lovely welcome reception in the Common Room with some wine and canapes.

Tour - We will also organize a tour for you in the week after this event.

We will also have a 'Market Place' at lunchtime with stalls from everything from Sport to our Irish Language Officer, Hospital Saturday Fund, HR Services and our Research Development Office.

In addition, staff from key units will present on their areas and how they can support you through your time here at Trinity College Dublin.

We will be hosting a welcome reception in our Common Room for after the event, all are welcome to attend.
