ANNA MITCHELL
Anna Mitchell's released her self titled second album in 2018.
Anna Mitchell intertwines fragility and power,  a record made with confidence, intuition and empathy, assuredly alternating between sparse, atmospheric grooves and slightly gnarled, expansively lovely distorted grungy folk, rock.
The album was recorded independently in Cork, Ireland under the watchful eye of engineer and co producer Brendan Fennessy (O Emperor) along with a band of well known Irish musicians including drummer Davie Ryan (Jack O' Rourke, Notify), Brian Hassett on bass (John Blek & The Rats, Mick Flannery) and Alan Comerford on guitar (O Emperor, Mick Flannery).  The album's tone varies from the back room bar brawl of 'Get Out' to the hypnotic 'Never Learn', taking in the blues rock of 'Dog track' and the epic 'Better Life', demonstrating a confidence in the performer and songwriter. You might also hear echoes of; Pj Harvey,  Sharon Van Etten, Portishead, The Posies, Fleetwood Mac, Lana Del Ray. Angel Olsen , Lucinda Williams, The Felice Brothers, Hurray For The Riff Raff.

JOHN BLEK
Ever prolific, Blek has released 5 albums in the last 5 years. Currently he is preparing to release number 6, his new album Thistle & Thorn due in early 2019.

‘Salt in the Water’ from Blek’s  current album Catharsis Vol.1, was nominated for Song of the Year at the International Folk Music Awards 2018 at Folk Alliance International in Kansas City.  It's been a busy few years and it shows no sign of letting up. Endless tours and recording in Ireland, Europe, UK and USA keep the Irish troubadour busy.
He is a master storyteller and an inspiring live performer. His beautiful finger style guitar and  joyous vocal weave a tapestry that is as poignant as it is skilful. He is a true artist.

MALOJIAN
“A few months ago the British Film Institute & Northern Ireland Screen contacted me to see if I’d be interested in playing a gig at a coastal location, with coastal-themed visuals from their archive to be used as a backdrop. This sounded very cool to me and the more I thought about it, I began to get really into the idea of recording some new material to go alongside it.
So…I started recording demos at home with the intention of taking them to a proper studio at some stage and turning them into an album.
Low and behold, like an ugly duckling, they grew and took on a life of their own and have led me on my most incredible musical journey yet. From recording in a lighthouse to collaborating with some of my favourite musicians ever, I’m proud to present my new album, “LET YOUR WEIRDNESS CARRY YOU HOME”. It features Joey Waronker (BeckR.E.M.Atoms For PeaceRoger Waters), Gerry Love (Teenage Fanclub), Jon Thorne (Yorkston/Thorne/KhanLamb) and more…” Stevie Scullion, June ’17

MARLENE ENRIGHT
Marlene Enright captured the attention of Irish media in 2017 with the release of her debut record, Placemats and Second Cuts. In early 2018, the album was nominated for the RTE Choice Music Prize award alongside James Vincent McMorrow, Fionn Regan and Talos - the only solo female artist to be nominated for the award.
2019 promises new material and a new project from the Cork based singer-songwriter.
A bare bones tour is set for this coming Spring - be one of the first to hear new material at its rawest and most enchanting.

PADDY DENNEHY

Newcomers to Paddy Dennehy's music have a tendency be blown away. His first ever gig in Dublin was performing on 'The Late Late Show' after their booking team stumbled across him on YouTube. His first time playing his own material in Cork was a personal invitation from Glen Hansard to join him onstage at the Everyman Theatre after hearing him play 'Hard Times' on an old upright piano at the back of Benner's Hotel in Dingle. The first full band show to a mesmerised audience at Electric Picnic's 'Trailer Park Stage' left no one in doubt that they were seeing the beginning of something quite special indeed.
Performing with some of the greatest acts in Ireland and abroad (Imelda May, Mick Flannery, Lisa Hannigan to name a few...) has provided something of a steep learning curve for Paddy. "I remember coming away from the gig in King John's Castle in Limerick after supporting Imelda May thinking 'Jesus, I think I might have something good here, but 'good' isn't enough. My songwriting needs to get better, I have to work on my voice and my delivery if I want to keep performing on that level." This assessment led to many recordings being scrapped, songs taken apart and pieced back together and every aspect of the show being subject to scrutiny. "It took a long, long time for me to get a grip on what I want to do and how I wanted to deliver it."
Paddy Dennehy's debut album "Strange Wings" will be released in 2019. References to Nick Cave, Randy Newman and Leonard Cohen can be heard throughout the album suggesting a classic school of songwriting where each lyric has clearly been carefully chosen and every melody crafted with the utmost care in pursuit of the timeless song.
