Event description
An effort to explain what we stand for and learn from you how we can stand in a righteous way?

About this event

Battle cry (elan-e-jung) “Yada yada hi dharmasya glanir bhavati bharata abhyutthanam adharmasya tadatmanam srjamy aham”. These lines in the Bhagavad Gita mean that whenever unrighteouness (adharma) becomes dominant in the society, God will manifest itself on this earth to restore dharma: a just environment for collective growth.

Dear Community,

For us, collective consciousness is our God and collective growth is the righteous evnrionment for which we are standing up for.

We will NOT accept an oath of loyalty (which is a requirement for cultural centre membership) to selected leaders who want to govern our community via undemocratic procedures. We are being labelled anti-Hindu/anti-Indian; these personal assaults mean nothing to us; nevertheless, this bully mentality, using political influence to intimidate the vulnerable, has stifled our community's development.

Since 1991, pretended leadership has been the source of all misunderstandings and division in our community; elections and annual general meetings are forums for all members to express their viewpoints, and our self-appointed leaders' practises of not having an open mic, excluding people from events, and groups are consistent.

We invite you to learn about our cause and help us how we can better address our concerns to those who are not willing to converse. Let us not forget that the ancient knowledge of Sanatan Dharma has always been passed on through conversations (words).

Help us create a just environment for collective growth.
