Understanding ADHD or support in Further and Higher Educational Settings

This training programme is designed for all staff in a student-facing role including academic staff, student services, learning support and disability officers, course coordinators and administrators.
With growing numbers of neurodivergent students attending third level education, this webinar examines the challenges of ADHD from a biopsychosocial perspective, including:
· The neurobiology of ADHD
· Impact of Executive Functioning challenges on classroom learning
· Reasonable Accommodations
· Classroom support strategies
· ‘We would like you to know …’: Student voices
Dr Alison Doyle has practiced as a teacher, School Principal, and Chartered Educational Psychologist in special and mainstream education settings for more than 40 years. She has lectured to third level courses on behalf of the Institute of Child Education and Psychology Europe, Hibernia College, Dublin City University, and Trinity College Dublin. Her practice and research has focused on supporting young people with neurodiverse conditions and disabilities to manage transition from school to further education, training and employment.
