'Unveiling Boyle's Chequered Past' - town and river walk with Tony Conboy

Castlecoote native, Tony Conboy is a local historian with a particular interest in Boyle and of course his native county of Roscommon. Tony has edited a number of publications and contributed to local history journals, newspapers and blogs down the years. His regard and enthusiasm for Boyle will be demonstrated on this year's walk of approximately 75 minutes, which will draw attention and unveil many elements of the town and river that local people may have passed with regularity but not really focussed on.

For visitors, it will give insights into the long and colourful history of Mainistir na Búille and the river that gave the town its name.
