Uplift: Generating RDF from non-RDF resources with R2RML
Wed 10 May 2017, 09:30 – 16:30
The ADAPT Centre and the Ordnance Survey Ireland (OSi) are organising two seminars on Linked Data and Linked Data publishing, with support from the Department of Expenditure and Reform's Open Data Engagement Fund. Tutorials are part of the seminar, allowing participants to learn about and get acquainted with the tools and techniques used for uplifting data into RDF for publishing as Linked Data.
This seminar on “Uplift: Generating RDF from non-RDF resources with R2RML” will be held in Trinity College Dublin on the 10th of May 2017 from 9:30 to 16:30. The morning will consist of lectures that cover the process of generating RDF from non-RDF data – a process called uplift – with a focus on the Relational Database to RDF Markup Language (R2RML), which is a W3C Recommendation. In the afternoon, we proceed with (guided) tutorials using datasets available on Ireland’s open data portal (http://data.gov.ie/) and GeoHive (http://data.geohive.ie/).
The morning session will cover the concepts and core practice involved, with the afternoon session providing hands-on experience tutorials.
