Description
A day workshop focused on the urban cultures of eighteenth-century Ireland and including a keynote address from Alison Fitzgerald of Maynooth University, entitled: 'Exhibitions to “fill all the faculties of the mind, and charm every spectator”: Exhibiting automata in the age of Enlightenment’ and papers from Moyra Haslett, Jonathan Wright, Sarah McCleave, Ruth Thorpe and Leonie Hannan. This is an interdisciplinary event organised by the Queen's University Centre for Eighteenth-Century Studies and welcomes postgraduate students and established scholars alike for a day of debate and discussion.
