The Festival is delighted to return to the lush surrounds of the National Botanic Gardens for a summer evening concert performed on this occasion by the dazzling French Van Kuijk Quartet.

These elegant musicians will present works by compatriots Claude Debussy, on this the 100th Anniversary of his death and the Irish premiere of a quartet specially written for them by one of France’s most acclaimed living composers, Édith Canat de Chizy. The highlight of this exciting programme is one of Schubert’s finest musical masterpieces, his dramatic Death and the Maiden String Quartet.
