Over the two days of the festival we will screen, over 2,500 minutes of content, the very best in both professional and student shorts and features from Ireland and around the world.
The festival offers students a global perspective on the art of developing, financing, and producing animated content, for screens both big and small.

Speakers at our live conference include: Oscar®-winning director Don Hall, fresh from his work on Disney’s Raya and the Last Dragon, and known for his work on Disney’s Big Hero 6 and Moana, will be heading up a strong line-up of guests including Madeline Sharafian, Oscar®-nominated director of Pixar’s Burrow and Steven Clay Hunter,director of Pixar’s OUT.
Peter Lord from Aardman Studios, with over 50 years in the business of animation.
Big Pitcher judges include; Tara Sorensen, Head of Creative Development, Apple; Sarah Muller, Head of BBC Children’s Commissioning & Acquisitions; Suzanne Kelly, Group Head of Children's & Young People's Programming RTE; Peter Gal, Chief Creative Officer at DreamWorks Animation Television; Louise Bucknole, VP Programming Kids, ViacomCBS Networks.
Meet Allison Rutland, hosting "Animating Characters”’ as part of Beehive Theatre, Workshop Programme. Her work includes; "Toy Story 3", "Brave", "Monsters University", "Inside Out", "Finding Dory", "Coco", "Incredibles 2" and was a Directing Animator on "Onward".
Mad Max Fury Road’s Brendan McCarthy will be taking a look at The Graphic Novel.
Screening Oscar®-nominated, Wolfwalkers and with a special Q&A with directors, Tomm Moore & Ross Stewart.
We have always attracted incredible guests over the years from all the top international studios and broadcasters including: Disney, Pixar, Dreamworks, NBC Universal, Apple, Netflix, Amazon, Milkshake, Nickelodeon, BFI, BBC, Aardman Animations, Toon Boom, Darrall Macqueen, Gobelins Paris and RTE.
We welcome each year representatives from all our wonderful Irish studios including: Boulder Media, Brown Bag Films, Cartoon Saloon, Giant, Egg Post Productions, Jam Media, Kavaleer, Lighthouse Studios, Pink Kong, Piranha Bar and more.
Through our online Studio Pub Trail, students will have the opportunity to meet online with studio heads and have their portfolio reviewed and potentially arrange to have an online interview with the studio.
