MARCH ZOOM FRIDAY NETWORKING BREAKFAST

FRIDAY, 5th MARCH

We are delighted to announce our MARCH Friday Networking Breakfast, with special guests, video producer Michael Donnelly V and musician Erica Cody in conversation with Niall McKay, Executive Director of Irish Screen America.

Michael and Erica will speak about Playback x VMDIFF: Irish Hip Hop & R&B, a dynamic programme of some of the best contemporary hip hop music videos in Ireland today, which they have curated. Placing Irish hip hop and R&B on the international stage, the programme is premiering at the Virgin Media Dublin International Film Festival this March, and will then travel to festivals and arts centres across the world- including to New York.

Michael Donnelly V is one of Dublin's most exciting rising producers, with over 30 music videos on his CV including for Irish band Kodaline. He’s also produced two Irish Film and Television Academy award winning short films, Rockmount (2015) and Heartbreak (2017). His first feature ,Dublin Oldschool, was released in 2018 and was one of the best performing Irish films of 2018 in the domestic box office.

Singer, songwriter and producer Erica Cody started writing her own songs from the age of 7. She released her debut EP “Leoness” in 2019 and embarked on a nationwide tour, playing concerts and festivals across Ireland including Electric Picnic. She also collaborated on the enormously successful ‘Irish Women in Harmony’ project .

Roll out of bed (depending on where you are, of course!), make the coffee or tea, throw on a few Irish sausages, if you are lucky enough to have them, and Zoom with us!
