About this event
IGS committee member Pat Murray will lead a visit to one of Dublin's most impressive large Georgian houses - the first to be built in Ely Place circa 1771 by Henry Loftus, Earl of Ely. A brick terraced house of seven bays and four storeys with a magnificent staircase, the builder was Michael Stapleton, a noted Dublin stuccadore. The building has served as headquarters of The Order of Knights of St. Columbanus since 1923.
