Need a break? Feel you could do with a breather?!

Join us for an informal weekend retreat in the tradition of Plum Village. It will be a opportunity to practice, slow down, take a break or just hang out.

WakeUp is a group of practitioners aged 18-40s who practice in the tradition of the Plum Village. This weekend is open to beginners and those more familiar with mindfulness practices. Please note it will not be facilitated by monastics or dharma teachers.

€175 all-inclusive

Deposit €20 to secure place. It is being run at cost price/not for profit. See below for a rough schedule (this'll be dependent on weather and what people are in the mood for!)


Accommodation: Majority twin shared (contact if alternative required)

Food: Vegan, homemade. All meals, snacks, tea etc included

A small deposit will be requested, to avoid last minute cancellations/empty beds! The balance will be due the week before and can be paid via bank transfer or Revolut (or with cash at the retreat)

If you need to cancel please contact me via email, if there is a wait list or we can transfer your place to someone else then your €20 deposit will be refunded

Do I need to arrive at 1600?

No, you are welcome arrive anytime on Friday. It is understandable that people will coming after work and arriving later. 1600 if for anyone who is able to arrive and would like some time to settle in or explore. Ideally aim to arrive by 1930 to avail of dinner and the introduction. The sooner you can arrive, the longer your retreat will be!

Where is it being held/what will the accommodation be?

Accommodation is shared – there are 7 lovely, clean and modern rooms. These are twin rooms apart from one triple room (if the retreat is fully booked). There is a large shared bathroom with showers at the end of the hall.

What can I bring to the event?

Meditation cushion, or benches. Yoga Mat if you have one already. There will be some available to, please let me know if you require one

Some suggestions:

Comfortable clothes for yoga asana practice and sitting meditation. Warm clothing for outdoors/mindful walking, even rain gear depending on the forecast! Blanket/shawl for meditation. Any medication you take regularly or may require. Earplugs if light sleeper, just in case.

Is this a silent retreat?

No. Silence can help us practice, and allow us rest from the daily chatter and distractions. While it is not strictly a silent retreat there will be practices in the tradition of Plum Village. We'll encourage Noble Silence from 2100 until after breakfast, so that we can enjoy some quiet stillness and rest. Mealtimes will begin with silence also to help us practice mindful eating.
