Description

A Walk and Talk tour in the Irish National War Memorial Gardens incl. Voices of Memory, a contemporary remembrance of the many Irish people who died in the First World War created by the internationally renowned German sound artist Christina Kubisch.

Catherine Scuffil, Historian in Residence, Dublin City Council, will show and explain the installation and will look at the stories behind the voices of some of the Dubliners who fought in the First World War. This Walk & Talk is part of the Dublin Festival of History 2018 and is organized by Dublin City Council, the Goethe-Institut and OPW, forming part of a wider joint commemoration programme to mark the centenary of the end of the First World War.

Attendance is free, however, places are limited and booking is essential.
