Our FREE 4-week wellbeing walking programme for adults commences Friday 7th January @ 7.30pm on the walking track at Four Roads Hurling Club

Places are limited to allow for a safe environment

Movement such as walking is good for the body, brain and for our community. Meeting others in open, outdoor spaces allows us to experience an authentic, human-to human encounter, whilst at the same time allowing for physical distancing in line with current Covid-19 government recommendations. Participants will be provided with motivational tips and guidance weekly.

What to do to stay safe?

Wash your hands with soap and water before going out and as soon as you get home. Use hand sanitiser before leaving your vehicle.

Maintain a social distance of at least 2m from others.

If you need to cough or sneeze outdoors, please ensure you practice good respiratory etiquette.

If you are feeling unwell or have any Covid-19 symptoms such as a fever, cough or difficulty breathing, do not exercise. Stay home and seek medical attention.

If you are over 70 or medically vulnerable, please use your own judgment to decide regarding participation.

Adhere to the guidance of the qualified walk leaders at all times.

Where to meet?

Meet at Four Roads Hurling Club Walking Track every Friday in January at 7.30pm.

Where to walk?

Our experienced walking leaders will take you on a looped walk. The route is flat and graded as easy and is suitable for all abilities.

What to wear?

Wear weather appropriate high viz gear and comfortable footwear. Regular runners or walking shoes are fine.

What to bring?

Please bring your own pen to sign the walk register each evening.

It is wise to bring a small bottle of water and to carry your mobile phone, ensuring you have downloaded and activated the Covid tracker app.
