Great news, the Waterford Greenway Cycle is returning this year on Thursday, July 5th.

The Waterford Greenway is a spectacular 46km off-road cycling trail along an old railway line between Waterford and Dungarvan. If you regret missing the opportunity to participate last year, or if you would love a chance to fundraise for an excellent cause, why not sign up and get fit while you do so? This event can be completed as a full course or a half course (21km). Participants will be required to fundraise a minimum of €50 for ISPCC Childline in order to participate in this event.

The day's itinerary

1.00pm - Bus transfer from WIT Sports Arena to Dungarvan for bike and helmet fitting.

2:30pm - Greenway cycle from Dungarvan to Kilmacthomas (21km).

3:15pm - Lunch in Kilmacthomas and option for bus transfer back to Waterford IT.

3:35pm - Cycle the remaining 25km to Waterford IT.

What's included

  • Bus transfer to Dungarvan and back to WIT from Kilmacthomas (for those completing the half cycle).
  • Bike and helmet
  • Lunch in Kilmacthomas

What's not included

  • Transport to and from WIT, you will be required to make your own way to Waterford.
