Great news, the Waterford Greenway Cycle is returning this year on Wednesday 1st August.
The Waterford Greenway is a spectacular 46km off-road cycling trail along an old railway line between Waterford and Dungarvan. If you regret missing the opportunity to participate last year, or if you would love a chance to fundraise for an excellent cause, why not sign up and get fit while you do so? This event can be completed as a full course or a half course (21km). Participants will be required to fundraise a minimum of €30 for ISPCC Childline in order to participate in this event.
The day's itinerary
10.30am - Bus leaves Vodafone Office, Mountain View ( Dublin Retail team members and Mountain View Staff)
1.00pm - Bus transfer from WIT Sports Arena to Dungarvan for bike and helmet fitting.
2:30pm - Greenway cycle from Dungarvan to Kilmacthomas (21km).
3:45pm - Lunch in Kilmacthomas and option for bus transfer back to Waterford IT.
4:20pm - Cycle the remaining 25km to Waterford IT.
6.00pm - Bus leaves Waterford IT to Mountian View
7.30pm - Bus arrives at Mountian View
What's included
- Bus transfer to Dungarvan and back to WIT from Kilmacthomas (for those completing the half cycle).
- Bike and helmet
- Lunch in Kilmacthomas ( as lunch is at 3.30 please bring a snack if you feel you may be hungry earlier)
