Waterford Youth Arts - Creative Writing Workshops 15-19 yrs
Event Information
About this event
Take the next step on your journey to become a great creative writer, with our creative writing workshops for 15 – 19-year-olds learn from some of the best local writers, playwrights and poets and learn the ins and outs of creative writing including short stories, character creation and development, poetry, prose and much more.
This programme is a cornerstone of Waterford Youth Arts work with young people in Creative Writing, often supporting young people with publication and other endeavors (e.g. the creation of The Lit Young Writers Festival). This programme is a must for people passionate about literature, writing and poetry and a great starting point on turning your interest into a career. No prior experience is needed to get involved.
At Waterford Youth Arts, the safety of young people is paramount. We are excited to be back for in-person workshops at our host venue, Waterford Central Library and we are really looking forward to meeting new creatives as well as welcoming back all our friends from last time.
There are procedures in place, guiding what we do and how we work together to remain safe in our creative workshops.
