An exciting free event celebrating Watersports for people of ALL abilities from the Physical, Sensory, Intellectual and Learning spectrums.

Irish Sailing, in partnership with Canoeing Ireland, Irish Waterski and Wakeboard Federation, Tipperary Local Sports Partnership, together with Lough Derg Yacht Club, Spinal Injuries Ireland and many other partners are delighted to invite you to the Watersports Inclusion Games 2020. This event is aimed primarily at 10 - 21 year olds along with their families and friends, but participants of ALL AGES (over 10 years) are very welcome.

Volunteers of ALL experience levels are much needed and you are very welcome to book to assist us ashore or afloat on one or both days. No watersports experience necessary. Free lunch both days and Saturday Après Sail Barbecue and Party. Free outdoor camping for volunteers at the Lough Derg Yacht Club campsite directly adjacent to the venue (NB - bring your own tent / camper van)!

Volunteers must be over 15 years of age and a separate parental consent will be sought for those volunteers aged 15-17 years of age.

When booking as a volunteer, you will be asked to agree to the following declaration.

Volunteer Declaration 2020: I/we hereby acknowledge and accept that the watersports of Sailing, Rowing, Canoeing, Kayaking, Paddleboarding, Powerboat/Motorboat rides, SUP/Surfing, Waterskiing, Snorkelling (or Climbing/Rowing/Orienteering ashore) and associated activities, are by their nature ‘adventure sports’ and that they have certain dangers associated with them. I/we understand that these sports and their associated activities should not be undertaken without the proper equipment in particular the proper clothing and safety equipment including but not limited to an appropriate life jacket/buoyancy aid. I/we further understand and accept that sailing and its associated activities are physical activities that should not be attempted by people who are not of a suitable level of fitness. I/we are not aware of any physical illness/injury/condition that may impact on my/our ability to safely participate in these watersports or any other associated activities. I/we confirm that I/we am/are comfortable being in the water. I/we understand that I/we participate in the Watersport Inclusion Games entirely at my/our own risk. I/we hereby indemnify all organising bodies and other supporting organisations and their officers, staff and volunteers, against any loss or damage, accident, claim, injury or mishap arising from my/our attendance at the event and use of event facilities, and my/our participation in the event shall be at my/our own personal risk. I/we acknowledge that any watersports vessel used by me during this event is not my property and accept that while attending the event and using any vessel detailed personally to me, I/ we shall be responsible for the management and control of the vessel and the conduct of its crew. I/we acknowledge that the above orgaisatons accept no responsibility for personal injury, loss or damage to my person or property at any time and I/we confirm that I/we will not hold the above named organisations responsible for any such injury, loss or damage.

Photography: By entering the Watersports Inclusion Games (and associated regattas) competitors and participants and, where relevant, their parents/guardians accept that they may be photographed and/or videotaped participating and/or using the host facilities and they consent to the taking of such images and to the use, reuse, publication and republication of such images in any media, in conjunction with the participant/competitor’s name or not, without compensation and without the participant/competitor’s approval of such images or any use thereof. If you do not want your photographs used please inform the Registration Desk.

I/we confirm I/we have read, understand and accept the terms and conditions above, can review the Event Safety Plan (on display at the Registration Desk) and will attend the event Volunteer Safety Briefing as appropriate each morning.
