COP26 Coalition People's Summit: Irish Hub
About this event
As part of the COP26 Coalition's People's Summit, the Irish Hub invites you to join our webinar on the Rights of Nature.
The Irish Hub brings together progressive movements and groups from across Ireland to host this webinar as part of the COP26 Coalition's People's Summit.
Running for 2 hours, the webinar will first hear from a number of speakers who will talk briefly on the theme of the rights of nature: extractivism, legal progress in the area, international perspective, practical examples of activism.
To cheer us all up on what will be a dark winter's evening, Colum Sands will sing us a song or two.
And following that, we'll have breakout rooms to allow audience members to discuss various topics within the rights of nature theme, including industrial agriculture, circular economy, just transition, sustainable food, food sovereignty.
At the end, there will be some takeaway actions for audience members, if you're feeling inspired by the webinar and wish to follow up with some activism.
