Design educators coming together to consider how best we adapt our teaching methods not just to teaching in a pandemic but going forward.

About this Event

We are delighted to invite you to Letterkenny Institute of Technology's webinar Teaching & Learning Design in a Digital World, kindly supported by DICE Labs and the National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education.

Irish and International Design Educators will come together to consider how best we adapt our teaching methods not just to teaching remotely in a pandemic but going forward.

Esteemed contributors to the event are Derek Jones, Senior Lecturer in Design, The Open University and Pedagogy SIG Convenor, Design Research Society, Dr. Nigel McKelvey, Head of Flexible and Online Learning, Letterkenny Institute of Technology and Professor Susan Orr, Pro Vice Chancellor: Learning and Teaching at York St. John University and co-author of 'Art and Design Pedagogy in Higher Education: Knowledge, Values and Ambiguity in the Creative Curriculum'.

In advance of the webinar, we wish to get your input on some of the topics we will be discussing. Please take a moment to fill in a Menti survey. Go to www.menti.com & use the code 68 57 531 [now closed].

The webinar will conclude with a discussion between Cróna O'Donoghue, Lecturer in the Department of Design and Creative Media at LYIT, and Professor Orr reflecting on this and other contributions educators have made prior to the live session.

All are welcome. Events are free and will take place online.
