Dublin City Council, in association with the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, presents an online event to commemorate Bloody Sunday. At this webinar, the Lord Mayor of Dublin Hazel Chu will launch a commemorative edition of a new book marking the centenary of Bloody Sunday; History on Your Doorstep Volume 3 is a free Dublin City Council publication exploring the events of the day and its aftermath. In addition, Historian in Residence with Dublin City Council, James Curry will deliver an illustrated presentation on the events of Bloody Sunday culminating in the story of the killings of Dick McKee, Peadar Clancy and Conor Clune who were killed in Dublin Castle that night. The Minster for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, Catherine Martin will also participate.
The authors of the book, historians Liz Gillis, James Curry, Cormac Moore, Mary Muldowney and Cathy Scuffil, will participate in a Question & Answer session about Bloody Sunday.
