Description

Technology is rapidly changing the world we live in and how we live in it. Every day, new innovations are developed that further integrate technology into our lives. While we don’t know what the world will look like in ten years, we know it will be powered by computers and code!

  • How can we adapt to these changes?

  • How can we prepare children around the world?

In our 40-minute webinar, we will discuss the five key skills you can foster in yourself and young people to promote adaptability to these changes. We will discuss how an understanding of technology, and growing confidence in one’s ability to create with it, alleviates much of the fears that stem from uncertainty in relation to technological advances.

You will be introduced to CoderDojo, our network of free, social coding clubs, which run regularly in 93 countries. We will highlight how these clubs foster the five key skills, as well as cultivating young people's ability to code! You will see some of the projects that young people have created, including websites, apps, and games, and find out about our free learning resources that helped them make their ideas a reality.

We will show you guides and our online course, explaining how you can set up a coding club (Dojo) in your local area, and we’ll demonstrate how you can give a couple of hours each fortnight to help children develop confidence and resilience.

You will learn about the wider CoderDojo community and our exciting events, where you can see what we do first-hand. You will also have the opportunity to ask any questions you might have.

Register your place for free above and we will email you out the webinar join details in advance.
