About the Welcome Reception

University College Dublin, the French Embassy and Campus France are delighted to invite delegates of the French-Irish Symposium to the UCD Belfield campus for a Welcome Reception.

Delegates can join for a short presentation and campus tour at the UCD Global Offices (Gerard Manley Hopkins Building, UCD Belfield) from 16:00 to 17:00 hrs.

Participants are then invited to enjoy a wine reception at the UCD Village between 17:00 to 18:00 hrs.

Coincidentally, the 21st of June is 'la Fete de la Musique' in France, and to celebrate this occasion, we have organised some traditional Irish music to enjoy as well."

Participants may join only for the wine reception from 17:00. If you only join for the event's second half, please register for the "Wine Reception Only" ticket. We will see you at the UCD Village at 17:00!

We look forward to seeing you there!

About the Symposium - Welcoming International Students: The Student Experience to Enhance the Attractiveness of Higher Education Institutions

The Irish Universities Association, the French Embassy and Campus France organised the symposium jointly.

The symposium aims to bring representatives from across Ireland and France to share best practices in Student Experience. This symposium will bring together approximately fifty representatives working in international relations, student life and quality assurance in French and Irish higher education institutions.

The proposed themes of the symposium include sustainable development, intercultural training for administrative and academic staff, involvement of all actors in the welcome chain, and developing a sense of belonging to a study community and the alumni network.

The symposium will take place on the 22nd of June at TU Dublin.
