About this event
We are delighted to host the incredible Abandoman for our Saturday night at TEACH. Using his trademark blend of audience interaction and razor-sharp improvisation, he will take you on a magical journey, transforming the audience’s likes, loathes and daydreams into hit songs and captivating tales. Using a sample-pad necklace to trigger the high-production beats and hooks he freestyles over, Abandoman creates the kind of exhilarating live experience that has won him a string of awards, and the highest of international critical acclaim. He continues to sell out his fringe runs in Edinburgh and Australia each year, wowing audiences wherever he plays.
Support on the night comes from dirty cabaret duo Floozy & Bluesy, who take to the stage with original material that sounds like it should be on Broadway - until you hear the lyrics. Having performed for years at Dublin cabaret shows and Irish festivals, they made their county debut at Mayo Pride this year, and managed not to be run out of town, so they’re doing it all again. Be warned, this act is not for the prudish, it’s for the rude...ish.
And because we believe in pumping your tummy with happy food at TEACH SCOILE, we'll be dishing up some of our favourite Ethiopian Injera Flatbreads for those of you wanting a little supper on the night. Low intervention wines and locally made beers will be available to ensure much belly laughter!

An industry leader in bread as medicine, founder Karen O' Donoghue was named Gut Specialist of the Year and is a judge for the World Bread Awards. TEACH SCOILE was designed to be an immersive school house for the community to engage with the art of bread making and the wider arts.
