Event description
How best to support your child with dyslexia at primary and at secondary level, with Mary Scully of the Dyslexia Association of Ireland

About this event

This talk will look at what dyslexia is and strategies for supporting those with dyslexia at home and at both primary and secondary school. Mary will discuss self-advocacy, self-esteem and wellbeing, and provide parents with the key information they need to act as advocates for their children. This talk will give parents an overview of dyslexia in the context of the Irish education system and equip them with practical strategies they can implement to support their children. There will be a formal presentation and ample time for questions.

Mary Scully works as the Services Coordinator with the Dyslexia Association of Ireland for a number of years and is herself the parent of a young man with dyslexia.
