Lunchtime discussion on global climate action and the food we eat
About this event
What we eat, how we eat, and where we’re getting our food from can have a big impact on the environment. Join us for a lunchtime discussion on global climate action and the food we eat. Bring your lunch and get an assessment of its carbon cost along with its nutritional value. There will be input from Hugh Weldon, co-founder of Evocco, the sustainable shopping smartphone app (evocco.com) and Medhanie Mehari, Eritrean agriculture expert. Also contributing are Emily Hosford, programme officer with overseas charity Vita (vita.ie) and Rozanne Stevens (chef, food-writer and author). The session will be moderated by entrepreneur Pat Kane, founder of reuzi (a one-stop shop for minimal waste lifestyle). Event will be hosted by Dublin City Library and Archive with the support of Vita and Irish Aid.
