What's The Big Idea? Summer Camp

9.30-3.30pm MONDAY - FRIDAY FOR €80/ €100 per week.

Two one-week philosophy summer camps for all thinkers aged 9-12. Delivered through the P4C (Philosophy for Children pedagogy) this week long camp will use activities and enquiries to find, ask and explore the 'big ideas' in our world through: art, sport, science, music and film. Participants will produce a pod-cast at the Flirt FM studios, and complete a personal journal to show their findings from the week and look at ways to grow their thinking after the camp has finished.

Each day of the camp comprises themed workshops followed by philosophical enquiries facilitated by staff and PhD students from the NUIG Philosophy Department with special guests from a range of disciplines.

Galway P4C is organised through the Philosophy department at NUIG. Using the P4C pedagogy that is practised in 60 countries and has developed over 40 years, we work to make philosophy accessible, fun and engaging for everyone.

PLEASE NOTE: To secure your booking for this camp you must fill out the required regstration form as well as sending the relevant payment to NUIG Philosophy Department. Places not confirmed seven days after booking via Eventbrite may be re-released.
