While Nobody is Watching: Michelle Dunne in conversation with Cathy Kelly

About this Event

Beirt bhan láidir ag cur aithne ar a chéile: cuireann an t-údar ficsin mór le rá Cathy Kelly agallamh ar iar-choimeádaí síochána de chuid na Náisiún Aontaithe, Michelle Dunne, faoin mbealach ar spreag a taithí saoil sa Liobáin a cuid scríbhneoireachta agus a tríú húrscéal, While Nobody is Watching.

Two formidable women meet: popular fiction author Cathy Kelly interviews former UN peacekeeper Michelle Dunne about how her experiences in Lebanon inspired her writing and her third novel, While Nobody is Watching.

From a childhood immersed in coastal rowing, Michelle Dunne made her way to South Lebanon wearing the blue helmet of the UN with the Irish Army’s B-Company. While Nobody is Watching, Michelle’s third book, is a psychological thriller that draws from her military experiences and the types of relationships that form within its ranks.

One of Ireland’s most successful authors Cathy Kelly’s warm and witty take on life has led her books to be No.1 bestsellers in the UK, Ireland and Australia since her first book was published in 1997. She is also an Ambassador for UNICEF Ireland, raising funds and awareness for children orphaned by or living with HIV/AIDS.
