Event description
16 hour Wilderness First Aid Training & Assessment, with Ronan Lenihan of Mountain Training Ireland.

About this Event

Most first aid courses deal with “Urban” First Aid where rapid access to the emergency services is assumed. However, Wilderness First Aid (WFA) certified courses are specially designed to equip candidates with the skills to deal with injuries that may occur where environmental and weather conditions can have a significant effect.

Trainer: Ronan Lenihan, Mountain Training Ireland

Certification: Provided by the Wilderness Medical Society. Course handbook provided.

This is a practical course, attendees will require the following: Packed lunch, drinks, outdoor clothing, waterproof clothing, warm spare clothing, hat, gloves, walking boots, back pack, watch, pen and notebook.

All participants will be automatically registered as Inishowen River Guardians (for more information on the River Guardians and further courses see www.inishowenriverstrust.com)

COVID-19 restrictions: Attendees will be asked to complete a COVID-19 declaration and personal contact details form. Attendees must have a personal supply of facemasks and hand sanitizer.

For more information contact Bren@inishowenriverstrust.com
